About Me :

Clayre Attisani, MSc.

Hi, I'm Clayre! I graduated from the University of Virginia with BA in Philosophy in 2019. I also hold an MSc. degree from Queen Mary University of London, where I excelled in interdisciplinary coursework at the medical school and the School of English and Drama. With over 6 years of tutoring experience in the humanities, I am equipped to support middle and high school students as they pursue their academic goals.

When I am not tutoring, I work with a Columbia University child-development focused research lab. I have also worked in higher education mental health research and as an attachment-sensitive classroom teacher.  My background informs my holistic approach to teaching; I work to understand my students both academically and psychologically. This enables me to help students name and leverage their varied strengths while meeting and exceeding the requirements of their curriculum.

An avid reader and writer since childhood, I bring my lifelong love of the humanities to my work with students. I  have a track record of inspiring students, particularly those who typically gravitate towards math and science, to discover what they love about their humanities coursework. I equip  my students with the concrete skills to effectively articulate their ideas while encouraging them to develop their own unique voice.
